The founder of the Girl Scouts USA was Juliette Gordon Low from Savannah, Georgia. She set up the first US Girl Scout troop after being inspired by Robert Baden-Powell, the founder of the British Boy Scouts Association. The first two patrols were called ‘Carnation’ and ‘White Rose’.
