Prison escapes via helicopter are not just a thing of the movies, some criminals have actually accomplished this feat! France has had more recorded helicopter escape attempts from prisons than any other country, with at least 11. One of the most memorable occurred in 1986 when the wife of a bank robber learned how to fly a helicopter just for the occasion!
