Queen Máxima and King Willem-Alexander strive to make their family lives as normal as possible. They send their three daughters to state schools in The Hague so that they can mix with normal Dutch children. Willem-Alexander himself also attended state schools so the Dutch egalitarian tradition goes back a long way.
