Interesting fact:

A special team was created in 2016 to cater to those with refugee status. The team, known as the Refugee Olympic Athletes, is a team of 10 competitors who will compete under the Olympic flag rather than that of their birth nation. Five of the refugee athletes were from South Sudan, one from Ethiopia, two from the Democratic Republic of Congo and two from Syria.
