In the 1960s and 70s people went for an all-natural look – which also concerned body hair. Shaving, however, has a very long tradition! Our ancenstors used sharpened stones and shells to remove their facial hair as early as during the Stone Age. In ancient Egypt, hairless was the preferred look. Apart from religious reasons, there was also a hygienic aspect to shaving: water was too precious for a wash!
