Creative escapes are key for spies. One remarkable evasive move saw a CIA officer fake a birthday party in order to carry out a rendezvous in Moscow. Knowing that he’d be tailed, he and his driver brought a fake birthday cake with them on their travels. The car then suddenly made a sharp turn to elude the trackers, the CIA agent jumped out of the vehicle and – seriously – a silhouette that looked like a person popped out of the cake to make it seem like he was still in the car. Wow.
