Do you know what the philtrum is? It’s the little indent under your nose which is sometimes called ‘Cupid’s Bow’. It comes from our time in the womb – the two sides of our face develop independently and then fuse in the middle at that point. In around one out of every 750 births, this results in a cleft palate.
