Interesting fact:

If you wrapped a rope around the earth’s equator, the rope would be about 25,000 miles long. If you wanted the rope to hover one foot off the ground, you would only have to add 6.28 feet of rope. Interestingly, due to the circumference equation “C=2πr” you will always add 6.28 feet to any rope you wanted to hover one foot over any round object.
