Interesting fact:

Scooby’s name was inspired by a line from Frank Sinatra’s song, “Strangers in the Night” that started playing on a red eye flight. Sinatra sings “Doobie doobie doo,” but TV executive Fred Silverman, who was on board the flight, heard Scooby doobie doo, and the name stuck! Thank goodness, because Scooby's original name was Too Much. Could you imagine the show being called, Too Much, Where Are You?
