An Aldabra giant tortoise named Adwaita is believed to have been the oldest terrestrial animal in the world. It is estimated that he was an astonishing 255 years old in 2006 when he passed away. This claim has been disputed, however, because there are no concrete records of when he came into the world…but imagine living for that amount of time!
